ECO-WIND Featured on Gia Lai Newspaper and Broadcasting in Vietnam and PSU team interviewed on FM 88.00 MHz Radio, Thailand

The ECO-WIND project received media coverage from the Gia Lai Newspaper and Broadcasting Service through an article entitled “International Training on Fault Diagnosis Skills in Wind Power Plants” published on 6 June 2026. The article reported on an international training workshop organized by Quy Nhon University within the framework of the ECO-WIND project, funded by the European Union. The training brought together international experts, researchers, lecturers, and engineers to exchange knowledge on wind turbine condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, digital twin applications, and condition-based maintenance for wind power plants. The workshop was delivered by international experts, including Toomas Vaimann, Anton Rassõlkin, and Ants Kallaste from Tallinn University of Technology. The coverage highlighted the project’s contribution to strengthening technical capacity and promoting advanced maintenance practices in the wind energy sector.

Montri Luengchavanon, the ECO-WIND team leader at Prince of Songkla University, was interviewed on the local FM 88.00 MHz radio station in Hat Yai, Thailand in February, 2026. The radio program reached audiences across Songkhla, Phatthalung, Pattani, and Satun provinces.

During the interview, Dr. Montri discussed recent progress in wind energy research and introduced the objectives, activities, and expected impacts of the Erasmus+ ECO-WIND project. The discussion emphasized the importance of advancing expertise in wind energy operation and maintenance, fostering international collaboration, and supporting the development of sustainable renewable energy systems in the region.

The radio interview provided an opportunity to raise public awareness of the ECO-WIND project and to communicate its contribution to capacity building and innovation in wind energy research and education across Southeast Asia.
